PENRYN ATHLETIC 1 - VOSPER OAK VILLAS 0

Penryn gained their first win of the season in the hard fought match played in very hot conditions at the Kernick Road ground.

TThe only goal of the game came in the fifth minute when Dan Stidwell picked up a pass from Sam Eglinton and laid the ball into the path of Matt Moore who, after working his way across the box, turned and beat Dan Johnson at the near post with a well-struck shot from 15 yards. The home side continued to create with Matt Drummond having a header and a shot well saved by Johnson whilst Dan Stidwell blazed his opening wide of the goal.

The visitors grew in confidence in the second half and had the majority of possession, however, were unable to pick their way through the home side's defence. Towards the end of the goal it looked like Penryn might add to their tally with Stidwell and Rabone coming close.
