PENRYN ATHLETIC 1 - PORTHLEVEN 2
A last minute winner from substitute Alan Thomas saw Porthleven take all the points from this closely fought encounter at the Kernick Road ground.
There were few chances in the first half, though Jamie Thirkle saw a shot cleared off the Porthleven line by Chris Strike, while at the other end Darren Edwards performed similar heroics to keep out a Dan Stidwell effort.
Penryn started the second half brightly with visiting keeper, Richard Pennington pulling off smart saves from Pat Shaughnessy and Sean Johnston before Mark Goldsworthy put the home side ahead after good work by Johnston and Shaughnessy on sixty-five minutes.
But the visitors levelled three minutes later when Dan Stidwell outpaced the home defence as he ran onto Mike Brewer's through ball and slid the ball under home keeper, Steve Raven.
Alan thomas headed home the winner
at the far post from fellow substitute Ashley Stidwell's deep cross to give
his side their second winn from three starts.
