PENRYN ATHLETIC 2 - PLYMSTOCK UTD 0

This was a good result for the home side who struggled to contain a fiercely competitive Plymstock side. Matt Hill had a great chance for the visitors twelve minutes into the game and kept Penryn under pressure for most of the first half.

However in the second half Penryn upped their game, bringing on Steve Owen and Dave Broglino just ten minutes after the break. On sixty five minutes the stalemate was broken when Penryn's skipper, Pete Maclean made a grat run from the back berfore playing a one-two with Owen and lifting his shot over Terry Pelley and into the net.

There was no response from the visitors as Penryn notched up their second, eight minutes from time as Owen enabled Kirk Davies to find Broglino coming in from the right to smash his shot home from 12 yards.
