MOUSEHOLE 1 - PENRYN ATHLETIC 2
Two early goals saw Penryn earn their first points of the season against a much-improved Mousehole side at Trungle Parc on Tuesday night. The game was only seven minutes old when Pat Shaughnessy ran onto a through ball and coolly slotted the ball past home keeper, Ryan Gendall.
The second followed only eight minutes later but there was an element of luck about it as Jamie Thirkle's shot took a big deflection off home defender Perran Reynolds on its way into the net.
Mousehole reduced the arrears ten minutes later when Barrie Prowse was brought down in the area. Ross Badcock made no mistake from the spot. There were few chances in the second half though Mousehole's JD Bevington came close from Cas James' cross.
