Penryn got off to a great start taking the lead after only seven minutes through a penalty taken by Matt Drummond. Midway through the half Adam Trudgian made it 2-0 and the visitors looked comfortable. However, just before half-time a goal by Dominic Richardson saw the home side back in the fight.

Sixty minutes into the game former Penryn player, James Miller equalised and shortly afterwards Leon Hapgood put the home side ahead. A superbly taken goal by Drummond saw the visitors equalise once again but a late strike by Jimmy Alexander saw the end of Penryn's hopes.
