HELSTON ATHLETIC 1 - PENRYN ATHLETIC 1

It appeared that Helston were heading for their first defeat since October as they trailed for much of the second half thanks to a Greg Hobbs header. But substitute Dan Stidwell fired the ball into the back of the net following a scamble which saw the Penryn keeper lying on the floor surrounding by swinging legs.

In the first half Penryn sat deep looking to reduce the space in behind the defence and neutralise the threat that Helston striker Eddy could cause with his pace. However it was the home side who had the better of the early play and they almost took the lead when Jamie Thomson crashed a shot agains the Penryn crossbar.

Penryn went in front on the stroke of half-time though as a Dan Richardson's corner was headed in by Hobbs. The visitors defended well in the second half and looked to have done enough to earn the points but were denied by Stidwell's late equaliser.
